This independent documentary dives into the soul of Melbourne during its glory years from the 1850s Gold Rush era up until an overzealous attempt at modernisation ahead of the 1956 Olympic Games. An exploration not just of Melbourne’s iconic Victorian architecture, but of the city’s role as Australia’s epicentre of film, art and culture.
