This introductory workshop is a starting point for anyone interested in finding out what oral history is, what you can do with oral history, and what you need to know to get started on your own oral history project.Topics will include the ethics of oral history, who to interview, choosing a digital recorder, how to record well, preparing interview questions, transcription, and interviewing tips and tricks.

Katherine Sheedy and Fiona Poulton are part of Way Back When Consulting Historians, a team of professional historians who have been researching, writing and producing history for over 15 years.
