Event Description

Celebrate Seniors Festival with Little Sprouts by learning to make cards out of recycled paper and seeds to give to grandparents. They can even plant the cards in the garden!

This is a fantastic session for children to explore reducing, reusing and recycling. Children will learn how paper is made, begin to discuss the difference between waste materials, and explore how to reuse or recycle waste items rather than throwing them in the bin. They have the opportunity to explore the topic creatively by making their own recycled seed paper. Once this dries, they can give this to a special older person in their life who can plant and grow some beautiful flowers.

Suitable for ages 3-5. Places limited.
