Yolu author, filmmaker and artist Siena Mayutu Wurmarri Stubbs shares her culture and connections to the land, including her homeland, Bawaka, East Arnhem Land.

Activity 1: Noisy Birds guessing & drawing
Children discover some of Siena's favourite birds from Arnhem Land, and learn their names in Yolu Matha (the language of Yolu people) with this guessing and drawing game.

Activity 2: Collecting Maypal board game
When Siena was a child, she loved spending time with her family hunting different varieties of shellfish known as maypal in Yolu Matha. In this board game children play a collecting game and find out about different maypal and where they live along the way.

This is a take home activity pack, available for collection starting Monday 10 January at your local library branch, while supplies last.
