Do you have a favourite piece of clothing that is looking shabby?
In this workshop you will learn to repair and alter a much-loved garment and make it last even longer. Fashion designer and expert sewer Amanda will teach hand stitching techniques that offer lots of creative possibilities for repairing and enhancing your clothes.

Please bring the following items: clothes that have stains, rips or holes that need repairing or a garment bought from an op-shop; any fabric, thread or embellishments you may like to add (optional); most importantly bring your imagination, creativity and enthusiasm!
Provided: sewing kit, thread, pins and needles, scissors.
Amanda is a fashion designer based in Melbourne, with over twenty years of sewing experience. She runs her own freelance design business working with startup fashion labels which involves working from concepts and ideas and translating them into garments. Presented in conjunction with the Melbourne Fashion Lab.
