Event Description

Nature Book Week is a time for readers of all ages to celebrate nature writing in its many forms from science writing to poetry, fiction and non-fiction.

Some of our regular Preschool Storytimes will take place in parks around Moonee Valley so we can enjoy nature and celebrate books shortlisted for the Karajia Award for Children’s Literature by First Nations authors and/or illustrators.

NOTE: These sessions will be held in the place of Preschool Storytimes at Sam Merrifield, Avondale Heights and Crown Street Stables between October 14 and 17. Storytimes at Niddrie and Flemington will continue as usual.

Monday's session at Woodlands Park will feature Djirri Djirri dance performances, and nature craft with Yarn Strong Sista.
